Stanley E. Hart

Stanley E. Hart, age 59, entered into eternal peace September 24, 2017 at home after an extended illness. He is survived and loved by his wife Theresa Hart (Duhanovic). He is also survived by his father Edward Hart (Alberta nee Snell) deceased, children Marcus Hart, Amanda Hart, and adopted children Bridget and David Lesher. He is the cherished brother of the late Hilton Hart. Proud Papaw of Christian Alexander Ryan (Chuch). Loving brother in law of Katherine Miller (David), Laura Neumann (Victor), and Sharon Robinson (Edwin). Very proud uncle of Jessica and Joseph Gonsiewski and Jessica, Bryan, Jonathon, and Michael Gonzales. Very special brother to Brandy Alderson (Jared Davidson). Dedicated friend to many including his brothers and sisters in blue. Stan served in the city of Cleveland as a police officer with the 1^st District for twenty three years. What started as a career path turned into his passion and dedication to the city that he lived in. During his years of service, Stan was awarded several commendations including Police Officer of the Year, Chiefs Commendation and the Distinguished Service Medal. He was an avid history buff, loved to learn about and talk history. He was also a bass guitarist and lover of any and all music genres. Music calmed him and soothed his soul. Stan’s philosophy was simple- live and let live and do for others along the way. Family will receive friends at the Slone and Co. Funeral Directors, 13115 Lorain Avenue, Cleveland Ohio, Saturday October 7, 2017, from 9am until the time of service at 1pm. Interment Riverside Cemetery, Cleveland, Ohio. In lieu of flowers memorials may be left at the funeral home for the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame Mentor Program.
