Terri Lynn Greenfield was born on July 25, 1958, in Warren, Ohio to Robert W. Thompson and Mrs. Velma M. Gallison. She grew up in Niles, Ohio where she graduated from Niles McKinley High School in 1976. She married the love of her life, David Greenfield on April 7, 1984. They made their home in Cleveland where Terri was working as a Military Pay Technician for the Navy Finance Military Pay, (now Defense Finance and Accounting Services (DFAS)) for approximately 20 years until her serious illness. While working there, she was the coordinator for the Combined Federal Campaign fundraiser for several years; choreographing plays and organizing actors and sets to assist in raising money.
Both David and Terri became Foster Parents and Terri put her heart and soul into raising and providing opportunities for children. As a result, they even provided training for other foster parents in Cuyahoga County, which lead to them receiving numerous awards including “Foster Parents of the Year” for both the County and Parma Dale Foster Care Agency.
Despite her ongoing medical conditions and extended illness, she was determined to not let it hold her back. She loved to work with crafts and make her famous scented candles. In addition, she loved going on cruises and seeing the ocean; and sharing that experience with her foster children. She loved all those children as if they were her own.
Terri Lynn Greenfield departed this life on March 10, 2022, embraced by her immediate family and friends. Preceding her in death are her parents, Mr. Robert Thompson and Mrs. Velma M. Gallison, and sister, Beverlee Thompson (Vermont). She is survived by her beloved husband, David L.
