Thomas Patrick Brennan (09/17/1945, aged 71) went home to be with his Heavenly Father on Monday, 07/17/17. Survived by his wife Melody, children Patricia Renaud (Charles) and Hugh (Angela), grandchildren Maureen, Erin, Kathleen, Jack, Sean, Megan and Alexis, stepchildren Dr. Elizabeth Looney and James Looney (Daniela). Dear brother of Tim (Janene) and beloved friend of 50 years, John Saccany. Uncle and cousin to many. Former spouse and friend of Carrie Niece. Preceded in death by parents the Honorable Hugh Patrick and Dorothy (Noonan), and brother John. Graduated Holy Name highschool in 1965, then attended Kent State University, majoring in art. Tom spent 30 years serving the Cleveland Municipal Courts as bailiff and magistrate, as did his father, Judge Brennan. Past president of the Cleveland Jaycee’s, and recipient of the Dolores Schavko award for Outstanding Young Democrat. He enjoyed many years working at Fagan’s in the Flats. Upon retirement, Tom operated Cigar Cigars as its cigar aficionado. After 23 years of bachelorhood, Tom married Melody in 2005. The two enjoyed many trips to Fort Myers, Florida and Cancun, Bay Point, Porthouse Theater, cruises to the Caribbean, opera, dancing and sharing an abundant community of family and friends. Tom’s passions included his Irish heritage, golf, painting, reading, NASCAR and attending the Daytona 500 with dear friend Bobby Kershner. An avid fan of the Cleveland Browns, Indians and currently, the Cavaliers. He was a devoted friend of Bill W. and Dr. Bob from September, 1982 until this day. Mass of Christian Burial Friday July 21, 2017 at 10 am St. Malachi Parish 2459 Washington Ave., Cleveland. Due to construction Family and friends are welcome in the Slone & Co.
