Thomas John Wozniak, 84, passed away peacefully at home, Saturday, September 22, 2018.
Son of the late Joseph Wozniak and Helen (Zaleski) Folk, Tom was born September 6, 1934. He grew up in Akron, Ohio and resided in Lakewood, Ohio later in life.
Tom studied accounting at The University of Akron where he was a proud member of the Lone Star Fraternity. He maintained his own practice as a CPA during his working years.
He held advanced degrees from the University of Akron and Case Western University and had a lifelong love of learning, enrolling in college courses well into his 80th decade of life.
Tom enjoyed boating, antique cars, and billiards. He was an avid boater, cruising all the Great Lakes, the St. Laurence Seaway, and several other adventuresome passages.
Above all else Tom loved his family. He will be remembered as a fiercely independent, book loving, original thinker.
Tom is preceded in death by his parents, and brother Joseph Wozniak.
He is survived by his daughter, Christine and son-in-law Paul Runyan; grandchildren Elias, Luke, Henry and Julian of Charlotte, NC; and his niece Joan Wozniak of Akron, OH.
Friends are welcomed to his funeral Mass, Celebrated at 10 a.m. Saturday September 29, 2018 at Transfiguration Parish in Lakewood, OH.
Private burial to follow October 5, 2018 at Holy Cross Cemetery in Akron, OH.
